How RankingAI collects, verifies, corrects, publishes and discloses domain registration data.
Effective: July 15, 2026
This policy applies when RankingAI OÜ provides domain registration services or processes a domain-management request. It supports accurate registration databases, registry agreements, applicable data-protection law and NIS2-related domain registration data obligations. Registry-specific rules prevail where they impose additional or different mandatory requirements.
Depending on the registry and procedure, RankingAI may collect:
Customers must provide complete and accurate data and keep it current. RankingAI verifies registration data using proportionate methods that may include email confirmation, telephone confirmation, company-register or VAT-register checks, address checks, documentary evidence, identity evidence, representative-authority evidence, registry verification tools and consistency or fraud checks. At least one registrant contact method is verified where applicable law or registry rules require it.
A request may be paused, refused, corrected, reversed or escalated where data is missing, inconsistent, unauthorized, unlawful or unverifiable. A registry may separately initiate verification and may suspend, revoke or otherwise restrict a domain if required information is not provided by its deadline.
Registrants should send corrections to hello@rankingai.com from their known contact address and identify the domain and data to change. RankingAI may request authentication or authority evidence before changing registry data. Corrections are submitted without undue delay after validation and subject to the registry's technical and procedural rules.
Non-personal registration information and other data required by applicable law or registry policy may be available through the relevant registry's WHOIS, RDAP or domain-search service. Personal data is not publicly disclosed by RankingAI unless required or permitted by law and the applicable registry framework. Each registry determines the information shown through its public service.
A person seeking non-public registration data must send a lawful and duly substantiated request to legal@rankingai.com. Abuse-related requests may be sent to abuse@rankingai.com. The request should include:
RankingAI authenticates the requester, assesses necessity, proportionality, applicable law and registry rules, and records the decision. We respond without undue delay and, where the NIS2 domain registration data response requirement applies, no later than 72 hours after receipt of a complete, lawful and duly substantiated request. A response may provide data, request clarification, redirect the requester to the appropriate registry or refuse the request with a reason where disclosure is not justified.
Registration and verification records are protected by access controls, confidentiality obligations and appropriate technical measures. RankingAI retains customer instructions, acceptance evidence, verification records, disclosure requests and decisions for as long as needed for the domain relationship, registry requirements, accounting, security, audit, complaints, disputes and legal obligations, then deletes or anonymises them in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
